As an independent graphic designer experimenting with a poster for Hasselblad's pop-up shop in Toronto, I faced the challenge of capturing the brand's essence while enticing potential customers to visit the temporary location. The key issue was to strike a balance between creating visually striking imagery and effectively communicating essential event details. Leveraging Photoshop, I merged captivating visuals of Hasselblad cameras with Toronto's urban landscape, aiming to create a compelling narrative that would draw viewers in. Employing bold typography and minimalist design elements, I ensured that critical information such as event dates and location stood out without overwhelming the composition. Through careful consideration of Hasselblad's brand identity and the preferences of the target audience, I successfully crafted a visually engaging poster that conveyed the excitement of the pop-up shop experience, even though it was an independent experiment rather than a commissioned task. This exercise allowed me to refine my skills in graphic design and explore innovative approaches to promoting brands and events.
